Pasamayo Beach

Located approximately 50 km. north of Lima, it is a difficult place to reach. Side by the Panamericana Norte freeway, in the bottom of an immense sandy cliff. There are two ways to get there, one is by land, living the car quite far and going down a 200 meters height dune, or by boat from the beach town of Ancón, which is the best alternative. It is a peak to both sides with a tubular shape and without any wind during the morning. It is a very sensitive spot that has waves when other beaches are totally flat. It can be surfed with boards from 6' to 6'5''.

Aspects on favor of surfing in Peru - Why surfing in Perú is so cool!
In our country the coast is shark free, none of our beaches has a shark problem. It has never been reported a shark attack to a surfer, something that frequently happens in Australia, South Africa, Hawaii, Florida and, in less degree, in California. The ocean's temperature is also adequate, and it varies according to the seasons along the year. In general it is necessary to use a neoprene wetsuit, but never anyone that surfed the Peruvian waves has being able to say that the cold water kept them from surfing.
