Organos Beach

This beach is located on the town of Organos, north of Talara, in Piura. It's a wave that breaks to the left with a tubular shape and lots of strength. The bottom is a shallow rocky reef and it is one of the best lefts in Peru. This wave offers everything that a surfer desires; its ideal height is 6 foot. The best months to surf here are from December to March. The recommended boards are from 6'1'' to 6'10''. Even if there are already several surf camps in this area, use to be less crowded than Mancora and other beaches in the vicinity. The water is very clear that is very good for scuba diving.

Aspects on favor of surfing in Peru - Why surfing in Perú is so cool!
In our country the coast is shark free, none of our beaches has a shark problem. It has never been reported a shark attack to a surfer, something that frequently happens in Australia, South Africa, Hawaii, Florida and, in less degree, in California. The ocean's temperature is also adequate, and it varies according to the seasons along the year. In general it is necessary to use a neoprene wetsuit, but never anyone that surfed the Peruvian waves has being able to say that the cold water kept them from surfing.
