Mancora is located in the town of Mancora, in the region of Piura, in the north side of Peru. It offers a long wave with perfect shape. This wave brakes to the left on a rocky ground. The wave is better in the morning hours, when the wind is not blowing yet, and with high tide. The wave's size is from 3 to 10 foot. The best time to visit this beach is from November to March. The recommended boards go from 6'1' to 6'10''.

Aspects on favor of surfing in Peru - Why surfing in Perú is so cool!
In our country the coast is shark free, none of our beaches has a shark problem. It has never been reported a shark attack to a surfer, something that frequently happens in Australia, South Africa, Hawaii, Florida and, in less degree, in California. The ocean's temperature is also adequate, and it varies according to the seasons along the year. In general it is necessary to use a neoprene wetsuit, but never anyone that surfed the Peruvian waves has being able to say that the cold water kept them from surfing.
